POLICIES and GENERAL INFORMATION
SWIM CAPS and GOGGLES
It is extremely important for children to learn to swim WITHOUT goggles. Our instructors encourage parents to refrain from providing their child/ren with goggles for their lessons.
Swim caps are required by ALL children – this is a Health and Safety regulation.
AFTER SCHOOL CARE
If you require your child to picked up and dropped off to Camp Australia then this can be organised. This will arranged for a fee of $25 per term. Please let us know if this is required. You will need to let Camp Australia know that we have permission to pick up your child.
DIRECT DEPOSIT INFORMATION:
Please place the surname of your child and their first initial in the reference space provided. This will assist in reconciling any payments made via this method. If you have any questions please call us on 0407 798 527 or email us on info@heathramsayswimcentre.com
ENROLMENT FORMS
Please ensure you have filled out an enrolment form at the commencement of your lessons with us. We want to ensure we have the most up to date contact details and information. If you haven’t filled one out please let us know and we will arrange to have a form sent via email.
FORMS OF COMMUNICATION
There are 3 main forms of communication we use at HRSC to notify parents of any up and coming events and important notices that need to be delivered quickly!
We have found this to be an extremely effective way of notifying parents of important information. If you have a FB page please pop on and ‘like’ this page – has definitely served us well when we’ve had to get information out at short notice.
Please ensure that the email address you have provided us is the one you can readily access. In the instance of storms and having to cancel a lesson, we will use FB as an immediate update will get placed in our status.
Having up to date mobile numbers for Mum/Dad/Grandparents and any other person that is bringing you child to the centre for lessons would be a huge help and a MUST for safety purposes.
The above forms of contact details will help greatly in the event of cancelled lessons/storms at short notice, and also with regular communication being received from the centre – staying in the loop!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Children are NOT to enter the pool area unless accompanied by an adult. We please ask that if your child is swimming in a lesson later than 3.30pm they are to go to Outside School Care or other arrangements are made for their supervision. They are not permitted to be in the pool area.
Whilst lessons are being conducted, please keep siblings and friends away from the pool edge. The instructors want to ensure your child gets the most out of their lesson time and this can be made very difficult when other children on the edge of the pool are creating a distraction. We also want to create a fun learning environment for all children in the lesson.
Children who are not in a lesson are not to use the other areas of the pool. Once your lesson is over and your teacher has said goodbye, please make sure your child/ren leaves the pool and they do not get back in.
We appreciate your co-operation as the above points are to make sure your children’s safety is paramount and the learning environment we create is one where children enjoy their swimming lessons.

To be eligible for this policy we are to be notified of your child/rens absence prior to the beginning of their lesson/s:

PAYMENT POLCY AND CANCELLATION OF YOUR CHILD’S LESSON
At the end of each term we send out an email with details on how to rebook.
Once a child is included in our timetable, we take this as an agreement between HRSC and the parent/guardian to provide a service and a fee is payable, respectively. Your child’s spot is SECURE once payment has been received.
If payment is not received by the due date and no payment agreement has been formed between the parent/guardian and HRSC; HRSC reserves the right remove the child from the timetable.
When a parent/guardian has to change the time of a swimming lesson, once the timetable has been completed and the original time provided is in line with the initial preferences, there will be a fee equivalent to 4 weeks of lessons charged if you pull your child out of the program, even though we are able to offer other times/days.
HRSC requires 2 weeks notice of cancelling lessons. 4 weeks of lessons will be charged if a time frame less than this is provided.
We look forward to a great term of swimming and one that is filled with plenty of FUN!!
